This photo exhibition took place in Adavisandra village (South Karnataka, India) on Feb 15, 2014. The exhibit was meant to showcase the work of the 9th standard class, who worked on a participatory photography project over the course of 8 months. The students took images of whatever they found particularly curious in their home and village community, and, in turn, they selected the images they felt best reflected their artistic sensibilities. Since, the exhibit has travelled as "Curious Photography", taking the same form as in the initial exhibit -- in a room with a black chalkboard, photographs on plastic blue chairs held up by rocks, with photographs strewn on tables -- so those who view these images, whether in Bangalore or Philadelphia, can mimic the students' movement through the exhibit. Some of the original photographs from this exhibit continue to be displayed in classrooms in the school.
